Tree trimming and road repairs will require lane closures this week in Waimea.
Alternating lane closures will be in effect through May on Mamalahoa Highway between Mana Road and Puu Nani Drive for the work, according to the Hawaii County Department of Public Works. Crews will be working from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m on weekdays.
The westbound lane of Old Mamalahoa Highway just past Viera Road will be closed for tree trimming through April 28, according to the department. Alatani Tree Experts Inc. crews will be working from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.
